- Recipient
must provide before and after photographs for GTMT files.
- Trees
must be sited in cocnut grove.
- Trees
must be on pubic swale.
- Property
owner must consent to planting.
- Trees
purchased should be Florida native, or, if otherwise, they must
not be on Miami-Dade county's lists of "trees not to be planted"
or "tree to be avoided" or trees they encourage owners to
remove.
- Trees
must be purchased at a member of Florida Nurserymen & Growers Association.
- Trees
must be Florida grade #1 or better.
- Native
trees should be at least 8 feet tall (non-natives at least 10 feet).
- Three
bids should be obtained.
- Where
power lines are involved, trees selected must be "small trees",
i.e. approxximately 20' max. at maturity.
- Installation
should be a licensed and insured landscaper or certifed arborlist who
must provide minimun 6 months guarantte.
- Or, self
installation should follow guidelines developed by American Forests
